A hypertonic or ‘tense’ pelvic floor is a type of pelvic floor dysfunction. Data suggests that it occurs as often as in 1 in 10 people.
Hypertonic pelvic floor symptoms include;

Urinary symptoms can include frequency, urgency, hesitancy, and incomplete emptying.
If you suspect you may have a hypertonic pelvic floor, or pelvic floor dysfunction in general, it’s a good idea to get checked out by a Women’s Health Physio.
I work closely with local WHPs as part of my role in helping women improve their core function .
On my Back to your Core Program™ I teach women how to release the pelvic floor and core muscles, (and other areas!) so that they can then work on strengthening their core back up again.
If you’re interested in my Back to your Core program, feel free to DM me.
